Southwark Council’s NRPF team provides information to migrants with no recourse to public funds who are 'ordinarily resident' in Southwark and are at risk of being destitute or have social care needs.
This includes:
• Establishing someone’s immigration status
• Signposting to legal advice agencies and migrant support organisations in the borough
. Referring and signposting to agencies that assist with voluntary return to country of origin
• Signposting to other services, such as health services, local children’s centres, and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) classes
• Providing information about local community organisations
- Assessing eligibility for support from the Council
