Bede Starfish Project

Domestic Violence and Lesbian, Gay, Bi-sexual and Transsexual (LGBT) Hate crime: Practical and emotional support for victims of Domestic Violence and LGBT hate crime.

At the Bede Starfish Project we will:
• Listen to what is happening to you and help you assess the true level of risk to your safety
• Help you make a safety plan to protect you, and others close to you who are also at risk
• Help you understand your legal rights, including when your immigration status does not give you recourse to public funds
• Help you to gather information that will enable police, housing or other authorities to take action
• Give you opportunities, once the crisis has passed, to learn from your experience and rebuild your confidence
